From our years at Comtechsa and since, we have been very fortunate to work across the whole spectrum, and very much appreciate the opportunity to work with people of different faiths, with unique requirements for use and needs in places of worship. Generally before approaching any design we spend considerable time with clients to understand the project from their perspective to integrate the cultural aspects of their faith.
This provides intimate understandings of aspiration and informs our collaborative approaches in the design process. Aside from works to existing buildings we have in assisted many groups to find sites, acquire buildings and access funding at the earliest stages of the process. This can take several years but the success of organizations we have worked with in achieving their goals, is testament to what can be achieved.
St Anne's Church, Edge Hill.
The church dates from 1846 (architect Charles Hansom) with extensions by Pugin & Pugin until the end of the 19th century.
The church buildings had to be separated from the presbytery, so that Asylum Link Merseyside could operate - and that meant that parish rooms had to be provided in other spaces. (Links to BIMx - 42Mb).
