Conversion of a Church Hall to a local Community Centre with educational with local historical archive

Following the closure of Liverpool 8 Law Centre, the group set up a legacy group to promote services to the Liverpool 8 community from the proceeds of the disposal of their old premises. This project is one such outcome.

The Mission Hall was a former church hall which was converted as an annexe to Toxteth TV for their recording rooms. The L8 Hub is designed for an accessible environment friendly multiple use building. The basement floor will used as recording rooms. The ground floor is designed as a community café and welcome centre with high speed internet connection. The first floor will be used for educational and learning purposes. The second floor is designed as a digital and paper based achieve.

April 2017 – We have heard that the archive project has gained grant-funding, but the building project has not. Watch this space!
